We are pleased to announcement that the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP),  in cooperation with the  Mater's Institute Development Academic and Seminary (MIDAS), NIMS University Rajashthan-Jaipur of  India and Siam University, Bangkok of Thailand will organize the 7^th AUAP Students English Speech Competition(SESC) scheduled on  June 3 - 4, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand . The AUAP Secretariat is organizing this activity to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talents in preparing and delivering a speech on a given topic.  Furthermore, SESC fosters the development of well-rounded individuals who are confident, articulate, and capable of critical thinking. It offers a platform for students to hone their public speaking skills, engage with diverse ideas, and prepare for future challenges in both academic and professional settings.

 

This year, there are 4 topics;

1.      Environmental sustainability and individual responsibility

2.      Overcoming obstacles and achieving personal growth

3.      The impact of technology on human relationships

4.      The importance of empathy in today's society

 

The competition aims for contestants including the following .

1 . Confidence Building for Effective Public Speaking and Communication Skills

2 . Foster Critical Thinking

3 . Boost Self - Esteem and Confidence

4 . Develop Research and Organizational Skills

5 . Improve Listening and Comprehension

6 . Encourage Creativity and Originality

8 . Prepare for Future Academic and Professional Success

9 . Promote Cultural and Social Awareness

10 . Skill Development and Knowledge Enhancement

11 . Improvement in Critical Thinking and Listening Skills

12 . Broadens One ’ s Viewpoints and Knowledge

13 . Improved Retention of Knowledge

14 . Enhances Self - Expression, Self - Esteem, Logical and Clear Thinking

15 . Acquires Critical Life Skills

 

On behalf of the Secretariat, we cordially invite you to nominate more than one team for the 7^th  AUAP Student English Speech Competition (SESC) .  One ( 1 ) team consists of three (3) students with two (2) contestants and one ( 1 ) Coach .  We welcome a total of thirty (30) teams to participate in this event on a first - come, first - served basis .

 

We look forward to your participation and contributions to this exciting and enriching competition .
