Principles and reasons
This seminar is important because Thai society faces major challenges in dealing with a constantly changing society. Important phenomena that are currently occurring and affecting society at large are as follows: “Entering the aging society” (Aging Society) where the population is living longer. This is the result of advances in medicine, public health, and family values in the changing society. As a result, the birth rate decreases and the proportion of workers also decreases. This directly affects the growth of the economy and the domestic budget. Moreover, new challenges for the future include Climate Change, Immigration, VUCA World, etc. These are things that push the government to have good, flexible management that includes the participation of the people and collaboration with various sectors of society jointly. These changes create the need to formulate new policies and welfare which will lead to the stability (Ontological Security) of people in the society.
